Staff Enterprise Security Engineer (AI Security)

Location: Remote within the US; not eligible for hiring in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, or surrounding areas. Occasional travel may be required for project or team meetings.

Salary: $155,520–$194,400 in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont, or Washington, D.C.; $164,640–$205,800 in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California outside the San Francisco Bay Area; $182,960–$228,700 in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you will do

• Design and implement secure reference architectures for enterprise AI platforms, protecting data integrity, regulatory compliance, and resilience.
• Establish a framework for vetting AI solutions and help institutionalize secure AI practices across the organization.
• Develop the roadmap for agentic AI identity and posture management with cross-functional partners.
• Improve enterprise security posture through high-quality Python, Go, or similar code and infrastructure-as-code management.
• Mentor junior engineers and advise leadership on emerging AI security risks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering or infrastructure security.
• 2+ years leading teams in a technical or staff engineering capacity at an enterprise.
• Expertise in AWS or GCP cloud security and Kubernetes container security.
• Experience designing and deploying complex security systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.

Nice to have

• Experience building, deploying, and reviewing automation for complex security workflows, including AI-driven and traditional automation.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex AI security risks to non-technical stakeholders.
