Tech Lead Software Engineer, Fleet Connectivity (C++)

Base salary: $193,930–$291,150 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Define the technical roadmap and architecture for fleet connectivity across cellular network components and network software.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant connectivity solutions for current and next-generation autonomous vehicle platforms.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to establish connectivity requirements and implement fleet-wide networking strategies.
• Build analysis tools, dashboards, and automation frameworks to measure and optimize connectivity trends from operational data.
• Provide technical direction through system design reviews, code reviews, mentorship, and long-term architectural planning.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into detailed, cohesive system designs spanning multiple components.
• Deep expertise in debugging and tooling for cellular modems, Linux network stacks, and networking protocols.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience, including experience acting as a Tech Lead on complex software projects.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
