Senior Consultant, Healthcare Reimbursement (Senior Living)

Location: Remote

Salary: $80,000–$108,000 annual base pay, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare and review Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for Skilled Nursing, Home Health, and Hospice providers.
• Manage cost report engagements from data collection through filing and submission.
• Analyze reimbursement opportunities, forecasts, cost comparisons, and healthcare financial consulting assignments.
• Support audits, allowable cost reporting, new program evaluations, reimbursement analysis, and bad debt recovery initiatives.
• Collaborate with offshore and cross-functional teams to review workpapers, validate data, and meet deadlines.
• Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with cost reports and healthcare reimbursement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.
• Proven Excel skills preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships through strong client service.
• Ability to work within budget and deadline constraints, collaborate in a team setting, and solve problems effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with reimbursement systems across multiple states.
• California healthcare reimbursement experience.
