Global Commodity Manager - Mega Projects (Data Centers)

Location: Remote in the United States, ideally near North Andover, Massachusetts; occasional travel to and work in the North Andover office may be required. Domestic and international business travel may be required.

Salary: $123,000–$148,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for valves, valve systems, and components serving data center and adjacent infrastructure markets.
• Manage supplier risk, productivity, capacity scaling, strategic partnerships, supplier qualification, and sourcing strategy execution.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Product Management on design-to-cost, early supplier engagement, new product development, design innovation, and value engineering.
• Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement through relationship management, negotiations, performance metrics, and long-term partnerships.
• Deliver annual productivity targets through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and supply base optimization.
• Use spend analytics, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, ERP systems, digital procurement tools, and AI-enabled technologies to improve sourcing decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supply chain.
• Ability to work effectively across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Product Management.
• Proven success delivering productivity improvements through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, value engineering, and cost optimization.
• Experience developing and implementing category strategies and supplier relationship management programs.
• Strong supplier negotiation, contract management, and commercial leadership skills.
• Experience supporting global sourcing and low-cost-country sourcing initiatives.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, safety practices, and procedures.
• Must establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.

Nice to have

• MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience sourcing mechanical infrastructure components in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, HVAC, cooling systems, water distribution systems, or building automation markets.
• Experience managing valve, piping, fluid handling, HVAC, cooling, or mechanical system categories.
• Experience supporting sourcing transformation, supplier consolidation, or organizational change initiatives.
• Experience managing suppliers across North America, Europe, and Asia.
• Experience collaborating globally across sourcing teams to leverage supplier capabilities, drive standardization, and accelerate supply base development.
• CPSM, CSCP, C.P.M., or another relevant certification.
