Global Commodity Manager - Mega Projects (Data Centers)

Location: Remote in the United States, ideally near North Andover, Massachusetts; occasional travel to and work at the North Andover office may be required.

Salary: $123,000–$148,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for valves, valve systems, and components supporting data centers and adjacent infrastructure markets.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Product Management on design-to-cost, supplier engagement, product development, supplier qualification, and sourcing execution.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, negotiations, performance metrics, continuous improvement, and long-term partnerships.
• Deliver productivity targets through strategic sourcing, value engineering, supplier negotiations, and supply base optimization.
• Use spend analytics, market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, cost modeling, ERP systems, digital procurement tools, and AI-enabled technologies to improve sourcing decisions.
• Travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supply chain.
• Experience developing category strategies, supplier relationship programs, global sourcing initiatives, and low-cost-country sourcing.
• Strong supplier negotiation, contract management, commercial leadership, and cost optimization skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, spend analysis tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Must establish employment eligibility and complete background checks and required pre-employment testing.

Nice to have

• MBA or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience sourcing mechanical infrastructure components for data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, HVAC, cooling, water distribution, or building automation.
• Experience managing valve, piping, fluid handling, HVAC, cooling, or mechanical system categories.
• Experience with sourcing transformation, supplier consolidation, organizational change, and suppliers across North America, Europe, and Asia.
• CPSM, CSCP, C.P.M., or another relevant professional certification.
