Sr. Director of Global Category Management: Workplace, Infrastructure & Lab Operations Portfolio (AI)

Location: Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX; Chandler, AZ; or Gloucester, MA, United States. Relocation eligible. Travel required 25% of the time.

Salary: $188,000–$258,500 annually.

What you will do

• Own the global Workplace, Infrastructure, and Lab Operations category portfolio strategy, roadmaps, governance, performance, risk management, and value realization.
• Lead Category Leaders, Category Managers, and matrixed sourcing teams while completing the organizational build-out, recruiting talent, and developing succession and capability programs.
• Act as the executive interface between Global Strategic Procurement and Global Workplace & Infrastructure, aligning demand, capital planning, supplier strategies, and business outcomes.
• Deploy category management disciplines including demand management, supplier segmentation, market intelligence, preferred supplier programs, governance, analytics, and performance reporting.
• Lead strategic supplier relationship management, executive business reviews, supplier innovation, resilience, performance governance, and risk management.
• Transform the operating model through standardized playbooks, decision frameworks, scorecards, business relationship management, AI-enabled market intelligence, forecasting, automation, and digital planning tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Finance, Architecture, Real Estate, Operations, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 10+ years leading global teams and managers.
• Experience leading category management organizations and managing large global spend portfolios.
• Background in Workplace, Infrastructure, Facilities, Construction, Real Estate, Engineering Services, Laboratory Operations, or similar environments.
• Demonstrated organizational design and transformation experience.
• Proven executive stakeholder management capability.
• Experience leading supplier governance and SRM programs.
• Experience operating in complex global and matrixed organizations.

• Workplace and IFM category expertise.
• Laboratory operations and equipment category expertise.
• Experience building category management organizations from the ground up.
• Global SRM leadership experience.
• MBA, CPSM, CIPS, CPM, PMP, or equivalent.
