Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid workplace; two days in the office are recommended but not enforced. Up to 90 days of workation per year is available, including 21 days working outside the EU.

Salary: €74,000–€100,100 gross annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion systems, analytical data models, pipelines, reporting automation, and data products.
• Develop analytics engineering solutions primarily for hirify.global Pay, a greenfield payment service provider.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders across the Payments business unit and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics engineering, decision science, and data science teams.
• Share knowledge, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and contribute to company- and function-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Professional experience as an Analytics Engineer, ETL Developer, Data Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing clear, maintainable, troubleshootable, and performant code.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, Scala, or another programming language.
• Experience with analytics engineering tools and services such as dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Airflow.
• Knowledge of data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a cloud environment such as GCP or AWS.
• Experience with payment processing or fintech.
