TL;DR
Senior Analytics Engineer (Technical Data Analyst) (Databricks/SQL/Python): Building and owning a central data foundation with production-grade data models, unified company metrics, and architecture for analytics and AI use cases with an accent on data integration, audit histories, and reliable metric definitions. Focus on designing Gold-layer models, resolving conflicting data across systems, and implementing automated quality checks, monitoring, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work with three days per week in the office
Salary: €5,933–€6,505 per month based on 40 hours per week

What you will do
- Own and develop the central data foundation and establish a single source of truth across the company.
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade Databricks Gold-layer data models focused on performance, reliability, and reuse.
- Lead requirements sessions with Finance and Product stakeholders and translate ambiguous business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Integrate live and historical data, model CDC sources with full audit histories, and resolve conflicting metrics across systems.
- Build automated data quality checks, monitoring dashboards, alerting, naming conventions, and Unity Catalog model tagging.
- Define company-wide metrics and collaborate with analytics, data science, platform, and AI engineering teams, including work supporting an agentic LLM tool.
Requirements
- At least five years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
- Production-level SQL, Python, and CI/CD experience.
- Experience with data modeling frameworks or approaches such as dbt, Kimball, or Databricks.
- Experience with Databricks or PySpark is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, translate high-level goals into production-ready solutions, and communicate technical definitions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in fast-paced scale-up environments and cross-domain collaboration.
