TL;DR
Senior Analytics Engineer (Databricks/Data): Building a central data foundation and production-grade data models that create a single source of truth for analytics, finance, modeling, and AI use cases with an accent on data integration, audit histories, and company-wide metrics. Focus on designing Gold-layer Databricks models, resolving conflicting definitions across systems, and building automated quality checks, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work with three days per week required in the office. Two weeks per year of remote work from abroad are available.
Salary: €5,933–€6,505 per month based on 40 hours per week.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade data models in Databricks Gold layer.
- Lead requirements sessions with Finance and Product stakeholders and translate ambiguous business needs into robust technical solutions.
- Act as the technical liaison between analytics, data science, platform, and AI engineering teams.
- Integrate live and historical data and model CDC sources to eliminate conflicting metrics and preserve audit histories.
- Build automated quality checks, monitoring dashboards, alerting systems, and Unity Catalog model tagging.
- Define consistent company-wide metrics and apply software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
- Production-level experience with SQL, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with data modeling frameworks or approaches such as dbt, Kimball, or Databricks.
- Ability to independently turn high-level business goals into production-ready solutions.
- Ability to communicate technical definitions and data implications clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working across domain boundaries in fast-paced scale-up environments.
