Gear Grinder (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Set up and operate multiple CNC gear grinding machines and related grinding equipment.
• Perform first-off inspections and complete quality documentation.
• Set up and use machine tools for precision manufacturing.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical specifications, and gear data.
• Use precision measurement and inspection equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.

Requirements

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• More than 5 years of experience operating different gear-cutting machines, including Kapp and Gleason equipment.
• Previous engineering or manufacturing experience, ideally in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.
• Experience with inspection techniques and equipment, attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement.
• BPSS clearance must be obtained and maintained. Candidates must also be self-certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.
