Senior CAPEX Procurement Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Zebulon, North Carolina, United States; travel to project and supplier locations may be required.

What you will do

• Lead procurement activities for complex capital projects, including design and construction services, equipment packages, and specialized project services.
• Develop sourcing strategies based on project requirements, schedule, cost, supplier capability, and risk.
• Manage RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and contract awards.
• Negotiate Master Service Agreements, framework agreements, and project-specific supplier contracts.
• Evaluate suppliers and manage performance, commercial issues, change management, and procurement risks.
• Support procurement from initial requirements through equipment delivery, installation, startup, commissioning, reporting, and savings analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related discipline.
• 8–10+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience, including significant exposure to capital projects.
• Experience procuring capital equipment, engineering services, construction-related services, or complex technical packages.
• Experience with RFx processes, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, contract development, MSAs, SLAs, and framework agreements.
• Strong supplier management, stakeholder communication, negotiation, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, matrixed project environment and travel as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, advanced manufacturing, or another regulated industrial environment.
• Direct collaboration experience with engineers, project managers, equipment suppliers, A&E firms, and construction partners.
