Location: Onsite at the Burlington, Ontario office, Canada

What you will do

  • Develop algorithms and methodologies that improve simulation and cost estimation for sheet metal components.
  • Translate engineering concepts into robust, production-ready software features.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate new approaches and validate performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new capabilities into the software platform.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Qt, C++, and VBA in a Windows desktop environment.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Git, and Azure DevOps for development and debugging.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • AI-native mindset with experience using modern AI tools and techniques throughout development workflows.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Burlington, Ontario office. Clear and effective English communication is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of metal forming processes.
  • Familiarity with finite element methods and simulation techniques.
  • Experience with numerical methods or physics-based modeling.
