Construction Superintendent (Electrical)

Location: Full-time onsite role based in Memphis, Tennessee, with relocation required depending on additional construction locations within the United States. The role may involve work at Southaven, Mississippi and other US construction locations.

What you will do

• Oversee electrical installations including underground duct banks, conduits, cable pulling and terminations, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, and grounding.
• Manage electrical contractors, subcontractors, foremen, and onsite crews to deliver construction milestones on schedule and to required quality standards.
• Monitor daily progress and maintain construction logs, red-line drawings, as-built documentation, metrics, and risk updates.
• Develop and enforce construction schedules while controlling project timing and budget.
• Lead site inspections and enforce electrical codes, local regulations, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
• Resolve material delays, technical conflicts, sequencing issues, and coordination problems with other trades.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience managing electrical construction teams on large-scale industrial or mission-critical projects.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with underground duct banks, high-voltage and medium-voltage systems, cable pulling and terminations, switchgear, and power distribution.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Ability to work in industrial environments involving noise, heavy equipment, excavations, and energized electrical systems.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as site operations require, and ability to lift 25+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Pre-employment drug screening, random drug and alcohol testing, and pre-employment and annual background checks are required.

Nice to have

• Postsecondary diploma or degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supervising electrical construction for data centers, hyperscale facilities, or comparable mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with Memphis-area building codes, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial permitting.
• Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project, and similar construction management tools.
• Knowledge of data center electrical specifications, redundancy, grounding, commissioning, and 24/7 power systems.
