Director Continuous Improvement (Biotech)

Location: Based in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with frequent support required at the Waltham headquarters and other SG&A sites; approximately 40% travel.

Salary: $175,000–$190,000 per year, plus eligibility for variable cash compensation and, where applicable, equity.

What you will do

• Deploy hirify.global Business System elements across SG&A functions in alignment with standard deployment plans.
• Lead process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity initiatives across cross-functional and extended value streams.
• Facilitate value stream mapping, Kaizen events, daily management systems, tiered boards, Gemba walks, and other lean practices.
• Coordinate project funnels, ideation sessions, steering committee priorities, and execution against plan.
• Drive digital and hybrid digital/physical lean management systems, including visual boards and problem-solving tools.
• Train, coach, and support leaders and teams to sustain improvements and operate processes independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, operations, or business.
• 12+ years of Lean/Six Sigma experience with hands-on implementation of Toyota Production System and lean fundamentals.
• 10+ years of demonstrated success coaching and managing dotted-line relationships with Director-level through C-suite stakeholders.
• Experience with visual management, 5S, value stream mapping, standard work, metric boards, stand-up meetings, project funnel coordination, and formal problem-solving methods.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, strategic thinking, and leadership skills across complex global and multi-site organizations.
• Broad knowledge of multifunctional processes and financial business methods, including SIOP, Customer Connections, and Strategic Sourcing.
