Senior Proposal Writer/ Proposal Specialist (AEC)

Location: Florida-based; in-office four days per week at a hirify.global Florida office, with up to one remote day per week. Limited local or regional travel may be requested.

What you will do

• Lead proposals, qualifications packages, letters of interest, and interview materials for private- and public-sector opportunities.
• Review RFP/RFQ requirements, create compliance outlines, identify forms and attachments, and manage schedules through submission.
• Write, edit, and tailor technical narratives, project approaches, resumes, project descriptions, firm profiles, cover letters, and service qualifications.
• Build accurate, attractive, brand-aligned proposal packages in Adobe InDesign.
• Partner with principals, project managers, and subject-matter experts to gather project, staffing, fee, scope, and differentiator information.
• Coordinate reviews with technical, legal, finance, and leadership stakeholders while maintaining proposal content, templates, graphics, and project information libraries.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in proposal writing, proposal coordination, marketing, business development, or qualifications preparation, preferably in AEC, environmental, infrastructure, or consulting industries.
• Significant hands-on proficiency with Adobe InDesign, including layouts, master pages, styles, tables, image placement, and final document production.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organization, compliance, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience preparing RFP/RFQ responses, qualifications packages, resumes, project sheets, or technical marketing content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to work in a hirify.global Florida office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with AEC public-sector procurement, particularly Florida municipalities, state agencies, universities, school districts, transportation agencies, or institutional clients.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Vision, or another AEC CRM or project database.
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, SharePoint, or proposal automation and content-management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• APMP, SMPS, CPSM, or similar professional involvement.
