What you will do
- Lead end-to-end procurement of VR hardware, manipulation items, environmental equipment, and other technical assets.
- Identify and vet global suppliers, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, and manage high-value vendor contracts.
- Partner with Engineering on complex Bills of Materials, demand forecasting, and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Design the department’s physical layout, digital asset-tracking systems, and scalable inventory workflows.
- Act as the ERP/MRP power user, optimizing kitting, tracking, auditing, receiving, inspection, and distribution processes.
- Oversee complex RMAs, lead inventory audits and cycle-counting programs, and report hardware spending to Finance and Operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technical procurement and inventory management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience negotiating with international vendors and managing high-value contracts.
- Ability to read technical drawings and understand hardware specifications.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, plus Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to design workflows, solve complex sourcing or logistics challenges independently, and mentor junior team members.
Nice to have
- Experience in robotics, aerospace, high-tech manufacturing, a high-growth startup, or an R&D environment.
- CPSM or CPIM certification.
