Engineer I-Process (Pulp & Paper)

Location: Filer City, Michigan, United States. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Starting salary: $86,400 per year.

What you will do

• Provide process optimization and engineering support for the mill.
• Develop and maintain methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.
• Coordinate outside resources and filter operational information to improve processes.
• Conduct data analysis projects and use findings to support business decisions.
• Coordinate compliance processes and support lean, quality, product safety, analytical, and systems initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvement assignments and receive training for higher-level responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in process engineering or production in the paper industry.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems, with demonstrated interest and aptitude in controls.
• Strong knowledge of pulp and paper making, wastewater treatment, and recovery operations.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, make independent decisions, and solve problems creatively.
• U.S. work authorization is required.
