Director - Actuarial (Healthcare)

Location: Remote - USA

Salary: $250,000–$325,000 annual

What you will do

• Lead complex healthcare actuarial engagements and serve as the primary actuarial advisor for client relationships.
• Translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders.
• Direct the design, execution, and peer review of actuarial analyses in line with professional standards.
• Develop assumptions, methodologies, pricing, reserving, forecasting, and program evaluation models.
• Oversee scalable actuarial tools and lead analysis of healthcare trends, funding arrangements, product design, network optimization, and care management.
• Mentor junior and mid-level actuarial staff and support practice development and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics, or a related field.
• FSA strongly preferred; ASA with significant senior-level experience may be considered.
• 12+ years of healthcare actuarial experience, including areas such as commercial healthcare, stop-loss, consulting, reserving, pricing, PBM analytics, alternative funding, or actuarial model development.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, VBA, R, or Python.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, leadership, project-management, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the USA.
