Team Lead - Fixed Term

Salary: $65,000–$70,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations and support service delivery at the WorkBC Centre.
• Supervise and coach a team of up to 10 staff members, including one-to-one meetings, case conferencing, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate communication and collaboration with staff, leadership, employers, service providers, and community partners.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training plans, probationary reviews, and annual performance reviews.
• Act as backup for the Centre Manager and provide regular performance updates to centre and regional leadership.
• Support WorkBC and WCG goals, including meaningful employment outcomes and key performance measures for clients.

Requirements

• Previous supervision experience, including leadership of a team of 10 or fewer.
• Experience providing performance feedback and applying performance management practices.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, interpersonal, teamwork, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and general computer software.
• Ability to meet all criminal record screening requirements established by the Ministry and WCG.
• Understanding of confidentiality and professional codes of conduct.

Nice to have

• Experience in WorkBC or employment-focused programs.
• Knowledge of the local labour market, community resources, government social service programs, job search techniques, career development, and issues affecting unemployed people.
• Relevant post-secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in career or employment development, vocational rehabilitation, social work, psychology, sociology, human services, counselling, education, or human resources management.
• French and English bilingualism or knowledge of another language.
• CCDP certification.
