What you will do

• Manufacture and align electronic-optical assemblies under a microscope according to manufacturing work instructions.
• Build fibre-optic assemblies using optical fibres, lenses, glass tubes, metal parts, epoxy adhesives, and related materials.
• Prepare fibre-optic cables and add terminations when required.
• Configure and test electronic and fibre-optic modules, standard products, electronic components, and PCBs.
• Assist with creating new production work instructions and maintain a clean, organized working environment.
• Follow departmental policies, 5S principles, ISO requirements, and quality-system procedures.

Requirements

• Post-secondary certificate in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in microscopic component assembly and precision soldering.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, learning ability, hand-eye coordination, and steady hands.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including Excel; ability to work with a microscope for extended periods and occasionally lift under 50 lb.

Nice to have

• Additional experience with fibre-optic electronic component assembly.
