Fullstack Product Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Build LabOS, the software platform coordinating experiment scheduling, execution, data capture, and results processing.
• Create interfaces and APIs that give scientists and AI agents real-time visibility into laboratory operations.
• Build AI agents and tools that automate decisions across protocol design, experiment execution, and troubleshooting.
• Turn proprietary laboratory hardware into API-controllable devices.
• Design scheduling systems coordinating dozens of instruments through complex dependency chains.
• Own significant product areas and make decisions about what to build and how.

Requirements

• Production full-stack engineering experience across frontend and backend systems.
• Experience with TypeScript, React, Node, and Postgres.
• Strong product instinct, including shipping products, observing user behavior, and iterating.
• Ability to work from goals rather than detailed specifications, scope ambiguous problems, and create implementation plans.
• Experience using AI tools in software development while maintaining strong engineering judgment.
• Curiosity about biology and interest in running experiments in the physical world.
