Software Development Manager (Machine Learning)

What you will do

• Lead a team of software engineers within the Tools and Machine Learning team.
• Build solutions that improve catalog quality and prevent defects in hirify.global’s product catalog.
• Collaborate with scientists, internal technical teams, product managers, and program managers.
• Define and develop multi-tier web services and contribute to technical designs.
• Establish mechanisms for delivery, continuous improvement, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Experience managing engineering teams and working as an engineer.
• Knowledge of software, hardware, and network development life-cycle practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
• Experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• Experience partnering with product and program management teams.
• Experience delivering products against plan in fast-paced, multidisciplinary, distributed-responsibility, and ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams.
