• Manage the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including data collection, preprocessing, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Research and implement novel ML algorithms to improve the scalability and robustness of recommendation systems and AI models.
• Mentor and coach team members on design patterns, code quality, testing, and debugging.
• Hire, onboard, and retain top ML engineering talent to foster a culture of innovation.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Science, and Growth teams to deliver high-impact AI features.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience managing machine learning engineering teams running core services at scale.
• Experience building and scaling ML models and agentic systems for business applications using large datasets.
• Ability to communicate complex data science concepts and craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
• Agile mindset with a strong focus on iterative improvement and the 80/20 rule for business practicality.
