Staff Engineer, Test Integration, Modelling and Simulation (C++)

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance C++ software for complex flight systems.
• Architect scalable simulation solutions for systems of systems and real-time processing.
• Integrate third-party software and hardware into comprehensive system architectures.
• Set technical standards, mentor engineers, and decompose work for teams and individuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver aligned solutions.
• Debug and optimize complex systems while applying continuous integration and test-driven development practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
• Advanced software engineering and systems integration experience, including system architecture and design patterns.
• Extensive modern C++ experience, including C++17/20 and legacy C++98/03 codebases.
• Experience with Python, Linux, and Docker or other containerization mechanisms.
• Experience leading projects with 10 or more contributors.
• Experience with continuous integration/delivery and test-driven development in collaborative environments.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• Real-time and distributed simulation experience, including surface or subsurface simulation environments and models.
• Advanced third-party system integration experience and familiarity with gRPC, REST APIs, ActiveMQ, or ZeroMQ.
• Experience with CMake, Conan, UCI, or OMS Standards.
