Credit Review Officer - Consumer

Location: Columbus, OH, United States; office workplace

Salary: $70,000–$140,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Execute retail consumer credit review assignments in line with departmental policies and procedures.
• Evaluate credit risk, underwriting quality, credit processing, portfolio management, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance.
• Review transactions and analyze portfolio data to identify issues, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Compile data from internal and external sources and prepare concise, accurate findings for reporting.
• Participate in risk assessments, continuous monitoring, and credit risk management committee meetings.
• Communicate recommendations and risk information to business units, the Credit Review team, and senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of related consumer or scored small business lending experience.
• 5+ years of experience in credit review, risk management, underwriting, or data and credit risk analysis.
• Knowledge of credit risk management and control frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage engagements within allocated timeframes.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and credit or statistical analysis tools.
• Preferred experience includes 3+ years using SAS and SQL.

Nice to have

• Degree in accounting, finance, economics, business, or statistics.
• Certification, advanced degree, or progress toward an MBA, CPA, Financial Risk Manager, or SAS certification.
• Technical accounting, GAAP, or financial statement analysis knowledge.
• Project management and conflict management skills.
