Structural Engineer, Entry - Level (Buildings)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid work arrangement

Base compensation: $36.00–$40.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform structural design and analysis for a wide range of building projects from conceptual and preliminary design through completion.
• Work with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assist with the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site investigations and document existing conditions.
• Perform field reviews for projects under construction.
• Collaborate with project teams and undertake other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering; a focus on structures is preferred.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience executing commercial, institutional, or residential projects is preferred.

• High integrity and commitment to ethical, fair, and sustainable conduct.
• Demonstrated collaboration experience in a diverse and inclusive team focused on technical excellence.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Passed E.I.T. exam.
• Familiarity with Revit Structure.
• Familiarity with computer analysis software such as RISA, SAP, or RAM.
