Technical Writer (Quantum Sensing)

hirify.global is a deep-tech spin-off of TU Munich that uses quantum sensors to capture three-dimensional current maps within multilayer semiconductor chips.

What you will do

• Interview experts across software, hardware, electronics, optics, mechanics, and UI to turn technical knowledge into structured documentation.
• Own the complete documentation set, including user, service and maintenance manuals, installation guides, safety instructions, and quick-start guides.
• Develop consistent documentation structures, terminology, and templates across products and releases.
• Create technical illustrations and diagrams, using CAD data from SolidWorks where appropriate.
• Ensure documentation aligns with IEC/IEEE 82079-1, CE/Machinery Directive, SEMI S2, and SEMI S8 requirements.
• Manage document versioning and releases throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Several years of experience writing technical documentation for complex custom machinery.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems quickly and obtain accurate information from engineering experts.
• Clear, concise technical writing in English, the working language.
• Proficiency with authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker or similar, plus illustration software.
• Structured, self-directed working style and a strong quality focus.
• Technical, scientific, or documentation background; no specific degree is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured authoring, DITA, or component content management systems.
• Documentation experience for semiconductor or cleanroom equipment.
• Experience with localization and translation workflows, including AI-assisted translation and post-editing.
