Technical Writer

Location: USA - Riverwoods, IL; hybrid work with attendance 8 days per month at a hirify.global office in the Central or Eastern time zone

Salary: $53,700.00–$91,950.00 USD annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Draft and edit detailed technical documentation with minimal supervision.
• Interview technical staff and gather product information.
• Proofread documentation for grammar, consistency, clarity, and adherence to editorial standards.
• Assist with technical illustrations and diagrams.
• Test documentation for usability and accuracy.
• Manage document versions and updates while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Intermediate ability to draft and edit comprehensive technical documents.
• Proficiency in gathering detailed information from technical experts.
• Strong proofreading skills focused on consistency and clarity.
• Ability to independently manage document versions and updates.
• Proficiency with advanced documentation tools and adherence to terminology and editorial guidelines.
