VP, Government Partnerships (Quantum Computing)

Location: Washington, D.C., United States; hybrid workplace. Due to contractual and national security requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Person and must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

What you will do

• Develop and execute a U.S. government account and market development plan aligned with commercial growth objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across federal agencies, departments, national laboratories, research organizations, and strategic institutions.
• Identify government programs, funding opportunities, procurement priorities, public-private partnerships, and research collaborations relevant to quantum technologies.
• Support Government Sales and Business Development by facilitating introductions, commercial dialogue, pipeline development, and partnership opportunities.
• Provide commercial leadership with intelligence on federal budgets, appropriations, technology roadmaps, stakeholder priorities, competitive activity, and market opportunities.
• Coordinate engagement across Commercial, Product, Research, Legal, and Public Policy & Government Affairs teams while maintaining account plans and stakeholder maps in the CRM.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience working with or within the U.S. federal government, defense, national security, research, or advanced technology sectors.
• Demonstrated success building and managing senior-level government relationships.
• Deep understanding of the U.S. federal ecosystem, including agencies, national laboratories, and government-sponsored research organizations.
• Outstanding communication, influencing, stakeholder management, executive presence, and credibility with senior external stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder, or worker granted asylum or refugee status.

Nice to have

• Experience in quantum computing, advanced computing, AI, defense, cybersecurity, or other emerging technology sectors.
• Established networks across federal agencies, national laboratories, defense organizations, and technology-focused government institutions.
• Experience developing partnerships across government, academia, industry, and research communities.
• Ability to translate complex technologies into meaningful government conversations.
