What you will do
- Lead and scale the accounting function under German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS.
- Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams.
- Own cross-functional accounting projects and coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for monthly and annual closing, including monthly tax reporting.
- Contribute to booking logic and posting patterns in the in-house core banking system.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and with tax-related matters.
- Hands-on experience preparing consolidated annual financial statements and managing external audits.
- Solid knowledge of VAT and related reporting requirements.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, precise, and structured working style with strong problem-solving skills.
- Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken.
