Head of Finance

Location: Berlin, Germany. Relocation to Berlin is supported with practical relocation help.

What you will do

• Own the financial model, budgeting, forecasting, liquidity, runway, cash conversion, and headcount planning.
• Lead bookkeeping, monthly, quarterly, and annual closings under HGB, including revenue recognition and accruals.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax advisors, tax obligations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payment processes, and cost-center structures.
• Define and monitor business KPIs, provide variance analysis and management reporting, and translate financial data into recommendations.
• Build and maintain the data room, lead financial due diligence, and support future funding rounds.
• Own investor and board reporting while partnering with founders, team leads, banks, auditors, and financing partners.

Requirements

• 7+ years of finance experience across closing, forecasting, and board reporting.
• Hands-on expertise with HGB accounting, revenue recognition, accruals, and audit coordination.
• Experience building documented, driver-based, integrated three-statement financial models.
• Experience owning budget and forecast cycles, business cases, liquidity planning, and KPI management.
• Experience with investors, boards, and financial due diligence.
• Fluent German and English, written and verbal.
