DVLED Project Engineer I

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois, United States; extensive travel required, approximately 75%.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate with project managers and system integration partners to keep DVLED installations on schedule.
• Act as LG's primary on-site technical representative for customers, vendors, sales teams, and integration partners.
• Evaluate site readiness, infrastructure, safety requirements, inventory, bills of materials, shipping documents, and equipment before installation.
• Train system integrators, technicians, and LG personnel in installation and product operation.
• Configure, commission, and troubleshoot LED display control systems and resolve installation and integration issues with technical engineering teams.
• Document project progress, technical findings, status updates, and escalated issues; support demonstrations, events, and remote technical assistance.

Requirements

• Technical school certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent technical education.
• 2–4 years of hands-on DirectView LED installation experience, including mounting systems, LED module handling, and installation best practices.
• Working knowledge of NovaStar and Megapixel control systems, including controller configuration, commissioning, image mapping, and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to read A/V, electrical, and mechanical drawings and understand IT, networking, and A/V system integration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Visio; ability to use hand and power tools and follow site and ladder safety procedures.
• Valid U.S. driver's license, ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely, and flexibility to travel approximately 75%.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale commercial AV or DirectView LED installations.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification; OSHA 30-Hour certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience collaborating across sales, service, project management, sales engineering, and system integration partners.
