Agile Data Product Owner (Data Analytics)

Location: Charlotte, NC 28277, United States; hybrid with 3 days onsite per week

hirify.global is hiring for an initial 12-month contingent contract focused on enterprise data analytics and data product management.

What you will do

• Own, prioritize, and maintain the data product backlog based on business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery readiness.
• Translate product strategy and business requirements into features, user stories, and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Refine backlog items with delivery teams, review completed work, and accept stories when the Definition of Done is met.
• Support data sourcing, ingestion, integration, conformance, semantic modeling, reporting, and analytics requirements.
• Incorporate data quality, metadata, lineage, access controls, governance, and regulatory requirements into product delivery.
• Coordinate priorities and dependencies across products and delivery teams while communicating progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Agile delivery, Data Product Management, Business Analysis, Data Management, or a related area.
• Strong experience managing product backlogs, priorities, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria through the complete product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of data management, data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, data integration, reporting, and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, plus stakeholder, dependency, delivery, compliance, operational, and policy-related risk management.
• Ability to work onsite in Charlotte three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise data warehouses, cloud-based data platforms, or data modernization programs.
• Experience in banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with PI Planning and scaled Agile delivery.
• CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM, SAFe Agilist, or PMI-ACP certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related business, technology, data, analytics, or engineering field.
