Senior Oracle Cloud Architect (OCI)

Location: Remote from a hirify.global location in Europe, ideally Germany, the United Kingdom, or the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, integrations, configurations, storage, security, and networking.
• Maintain the availability, performance, sizing, and health of database and application environments supporting large data volumes.
• Perform DBA activities including maintenance, cloning, upgrades, backups, recovery, monitoring, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Support Oracle Cloud ERP applications, workflows, concurrent processing, custom coding, migrations, integrations, and quarterly releases.
• Plan and respond to outages, execute health checks, diagnose issues, and implement service and performance improvements.
• Work with Infrastructure, Security, IT, application, and development teams across multiple geographies and time zones.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of experience managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platforms.
• Experience executing Oracle Cloud upgrade cycles and reducing cutover downtime through process improvements.
• Strong knowledge of OCI architecture, concurrent managers, workflows, application infrastructure, and Oracle Cloud ERP administration.
• Experience with cloning, patching, backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, ODI, FAW/ADW, performance tuning, and SQL profiling.
• Unix shell scripting experience with Oracle ODA and OVM environments.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, geographies, and time zones.
