Senior Software Engineer (Fintech/AI)

What you will do

• Lead architecture decisions as the platform evolves into an agentic, AI-enabled system.
• Design and build modular pipelines for document staging, automated validation, and fraud detection.
• Determine the optimal balance between LLM-based logic and deterministic, rule-based systems.
• Build verification and evaluation pipelines with strong hallucination guardrails.
• Lay the technical groundwork for SOC 2 compliance.
• Collaborate directly with the founding engineering team and US-based executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Latin America.
• English: Advanced, conversational proficiency required for daily communication with US executives.
• 6+ years of experience as a senior or staff-level software engineer.
• Proven experience evolving systems that combine AI/LLM components with deterministic logic.
• Hands-on experience with verification/eval pipelines and reducing hallucination risk.
• Strong experience with modern stacks such as Vercel and Supabase.
• Experience in regulated, compliance-sensitive environments like fintech or healthtech.

Nice to have

• Prior experience preparing a platform for SOC 2 certification.
• Experience with fraud detection systems.
• Experience in lending, capital markets, or structured finance technology.
