Associate Counsel

Location: U.S. Remote. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; new employment visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Manage prosecution, maintenance, renewal, monitoring, enforcement, and reporting for hirify.global’s global trademark portfolio.
• Own the DMCA safe harbor program, including notice intake, takedowns, counter-notice analysis, copyright enforcement, music licensing, and content clearance.
• Advise on advertising, influencer endorsement, disclosure, SMS, email, and marketing compliance across U.S. and international markets.
• Review marketing materials, claims, press releases, social media, push notifications, email, SMS, brand materials, and event marketing.
• Manage IP, copyright, ADA, and advertising litigation and coordinate outside counsel on enforcement and escalations.
• Build scalable legal processes, playbooks, training, reporting systems, and AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of experience spanning intellectual property and advertising law.
• Experience with trademark portfolios, outside counsel management, DMCA procedures, copyright enforcement, and FTC advertising and endorsement compliance.
• Experience with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, multi-jurisdictional trademark management, and legal process development.
• Strong legal analysis, independent judgment, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; hirify.global is not offering new employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in a technology, e-commerce, platform, or creator economy company.
• Experience with trademark management systems, AI-assisted legal tools, music licensing, or content clearance.
• Exposure to UK ASA and EU unfair commercial practices requirements.
