Limited Energy Designer (Revit/AutoCAD)

Location: Hybrid; Eagan office, Minnesota, United States. The role includes regular project meetings and assigned site visits.

Salary: $66,560.00–$92,160.00 annually.

What you will do

• Assist with designing and coordinating limited energy drawings for fire alarm, security, nurse call, and AV systems under the guidance of experienced designers.
• Produce and update project drawings in Revit and AutoCAD while meeting industry and company standards.
• Compile product data submittals and cutsheets according to project specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams, attend project-specific meetings, and provide clear progress updates.
• Conduct assigned site visits to gather project information.
• Complete assigned work reliably and participate in training and continuing education.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in the Autodesk drafting software suite, including Revit and AutoCAD, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, BICSI, AVIXA, PSA, local codes, and internal limited energy standards.
• Demonstrated customer focus, problem-solving ability, and commitment to delivering quality work.

Nice to have

• Two-year degree in electrical construction, electrical design for construction, or a similar field.
• 0–3 years of experience in electrical construction, installation, or design.
• NICET I or II certification in fire alarm systems.
