Technical Architect (AI)

What you will do

• Define AI and data platform architectures with enterprise CTO, VP Engineering, and Chief Data Officer stakeholders.
• Lead current-state assessments, gap analyses, future-state designs, roadmap sequencing, and architecture discovery sessions.
• Produce reference architectures, architecture decision records, data-flow diagrams, integration blueprints, and governance frameworks.
• Derive reusable patterns, templates, evaluation frameworks, and deployment playbooks from client engagements for the IG Labs IP library.
• Provide architectural oversight across multiple engagements and align technical decisions with project plans, sprint goals, and acceptance criteria.
• Support proposals and pre-sales, mentor delivery engineers and junior architects, and identify architectural drift, scope risk, and technical debt.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical architecture, solutions architecture, or principal engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience designing production AI/ML, data platform, or cloud-native systems.
• Deep fluency in at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience defining architecture directly with senior client stakeholders.
• Strong written and visual communication skills, including architecture diagrams, decision records, and executive summaries.
• Ability to abstract reusable patterns from specific implementations and operate with ambiguity in professional services or consulting environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI systems, RAG architectures, or LLM orchestration using LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with MCP and AI system integration.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, or insurance, including MLOps, model governance, or AI lifecycle management.
• Background in professional services, systems integration, or technology consulting, and experience contributing to an IP library or accelerator repository.
• Executive Certificate, Master’s degree, or equivalent advanced credentials.
