Service Engineer I (Automotive)

Location: Based in Plymouth, Michigan, United States, with up to 75% travel to customer sites.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair hirify.global hardware and software test systems.
• Serve as a liaison and company representative for customers at their sites.
• Complete commissioning reports, service reports, calibration certificates, and results presentations.
• Provide hotline and helpdesk support, analyze service requests, and drive issues through resolution.
• Contribute feedback to troubleshooting guides and continuous-improvement methods that improve equipment effectiveness.
• Complete required safety and technical training and develop an individual training plan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 0–2+ years of experience in a related field.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Unrestricted authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Willingness to travel, including up to 75% travel to customer sites.

Nice to have

• Two years of experience with test automation equipment.
