Senior Data Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden; flexible hybrid working model.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines from diverse sources.
• Build data processing workflows for cleansing, deduplication, validation, transformation, enrichment, and orchestration.
• Deploy and operate reliable data products and services on modern AWS and Azure cloud data platforms.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, observability, security checks, and operational incident processes.
• Perform regression, functional, security, integration, release, and data validation testing for platform upgrades.
• Define data models and products with stakeholders, support secure data access, and develop Power BI dashboards for reporting and analytics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent experience is considered.
• Hands-on experience with data lakes, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Kafka, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data modelling, and data integration.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or SQL, plus experience with AWS data services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, and EMR.
• Experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, cloud data platforms, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and data security.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, or additional AWS services.
• Experience with automotive, connected vehicle, telematics, IoT, or mobility data.
• Chinese language skills.
