Medical Appointment Scheduling & Patient Support Specialist (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Schedule patient appointments across multiple pain management clinic locations in California.
• Check and confirm appointment statuses and process appointment changes and cancellations.
• Handle inbound calls about medication status, prescriptions, and care-related concerns.
• Provide compassionate, patient-focused customer service while managing 400–500 calls per day.
• Maintain accurate patient information and scheduling records in EMR and appointment systems.
• Coordinate scheduling between multiple clinic locations.

Requirements

• Professional English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Previous medical field experience, including phone support, authorization processing, or healthcare-related work.
• Experience with EMR, appointment scheduling systems, and customer service protocols.
• Ability to handle high-volume inbound calls calmly and professionally.
• Ability to respond to challenging callers with empathy, adapt to change, and accept feedback.
• Availability to work Pacific Time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour unpaid break.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ECW (eClinicalWorks).
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.
