Robotics Software Engineer (Maritime Robotics – High-Level Navigation Planning (AUV))

What you will do

• Develop high-level navigation planning for autonomous underwater vehicles used in close-range inspections and non-destructive testing.
• Build solutions for inspecting pipelines, offshore facilities, and underwater energy and communication networks.
• Validate navigation and inspection solutions in simulations and real ocean conditions.
• Plan, support, and evaluate maritime field tests while analyzing sensor and navigation data.
• Implement and evaluate algorithms using C++, ROS2, open-source frameworks, and relevant robotics libraries.
• Collaborate with signal processing, manipulator control, and vehicle control teams, universities, and research institutions.

Requirements

• Degree in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or maritime robotics.
• Strong expertise in navigation and path planning.
• Strong C++ programming skills and hands-on experience with ROS2-based systems.
• Experience with localization, sensor fusion, and autonomous trajectory-planning libraries such as Nav2 and MoveIt.
• Independent, structured, collaborative working style with strong communication skills and an interest in research partnerships.
