Senior Flight Control Software Engineer (UAV)

What you will do

• Design and refine guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, including state estimation and control strategies, for UAV platforms.
• Implement and optimize deterministic real-time control software on RTOS-based embedded platforms and microcontrollers.
• Develop and tune sensor-fusion pipelines using IMU, GPS, and perception sensors.
• Support verification and validation through requirements-based testing, SIL/HIL simulation, and flight-test activities aligned with certification objectives.
• Contribute to CI pipelines, static analysis, automated testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, robotics, cybernetics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing embedded or flight-control software for complex or safety-critical systems.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded real-time systems; basic Python scripting skills.
• Experience with UAV state estimation, control systems, autonomous platforms, flight stacks such as PX4 or ArduPilot, sensor integration, and communication protocols.
• Familiarity with CMake, Docker, Git, automated testing frameworks, and debugging in simulation and embedded environments.
• Experience with safety and certification standards such as ISO 26262 or DO-178C, along with strong documentation and communication skills. Fluent English is required.
