Quality Engineer (Nuclear)

Location: Round Rock, Texas, United States; onsite

Salary: $83,000–$111,800 annually

What you will do

• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System with the Lead Quality Engineer and Director of Quality.
• Coordinate corrective action reports, perform root cause analysis, and resolve customer quality issues.
• Disposition non-conforming material and monitor product, process, and supplier performance.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, surveys, and source inspections.
• Prepare product certification documentation and review contracts, specifications, design documents, and purchase orders for compliance.
• Support customer, regulatory, and registrar audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality training.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or another technical field.
• At least four years of quality experience in regulated industries such as nuclear or aerospace.
• Experience with quality standards including NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ISO 19443, ASME Section III, ISO 9001:2015, and AS9100D.
• Knowledge of quality planning, material control, acceptance sampling, measurement systems, reliability, maintainability, and risk management.
• Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, teamwork, and Microsoft Office skills; ability to access manufacturing and warehouse areas and lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor certification.
• NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience with dimensional, visual, or nondestructive product inspection.
• Experience developing quality systems and analyzing data for process improvement.
