Propulsion Valves Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Parsdorf, Bavaria, Germany; onsite role with travel to test and launch facilities

What you will do

• Define valve requirements and specifications with propulsion teams.
• Calculate and design valves, create CAD models and drawings, and conduct design reviews.
• Organize manufacturing from prototypes to serial production and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Oversee and optimize valve assembly.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate development, acceptance, qualification, and integrated valve tests.
• Participate in system tests, analyze test data, and ensure component and system reliability throughout the valve lifecycle.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or M.Eng. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience preparing, operating, and reviewing testing activities.
• Experience with machining processes and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of Python or a similar programming language.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel to support launch and testing operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in valve or rocket engine development.
• Hands-on fluid-system testing, including cryogenic fluids and oxygen compatibility.
• Knowledge of technical drawing standards and materials science.
