Late Shift De-Powder Technician (Additive Manufacturing)

Location: Worcester, Worcestershire, United Kingdom. Onsite late-shift manufacturing role.

What you will do

• Operate automated de-powdering systems, vacuum equipment, and manual tools to remove residual metal powder from additively manufactured components.
• Handle, recover, and dispose of metal powders according to safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures.
• Inspect components after de-powdering, identify defects or process deviations, and report quality issues.
• Perform equipment checks, cleaning, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain batch records, inspection results, powder usage data, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to maintain safe workflows and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing, production, engineering, or a similarly controlled environment.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety; experience with metal powders or controlled materials is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow manufacturing and quality procedures consistently.
• Practical and proactive approach to equipment operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain accurate records using basic computer systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with additive manufacturing or post-processing.
• Knowledge of Selective Laser Melting, EOS, or Renishaw systems.
• Experience with quality inspection techniques or Lean manufacturing principles.
