Thin Film Coating Technician 1

Location: Franklin, Massachusetts, United States; onsite production role

Salary: $16.70–$27.83 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Operate coating chambers according to the production schedule.
• Produce single- and multilayer thin film coatings on glass substrates.
• Clean and inspect parts before and after the deposition process.
• Maintain detailed and accurate process records.
• Work with Operations, the coating team, and Engineering to improve coating yield, efficiency, and chamber uptime.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across business functions.

Requirements

• Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent vocational training.
• 0–1 year of related experience.
• Experience testing digital and/or analog systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement instruments.
• Applicants generally must reside in a state where MKS is registered to do business.
• Some positions involving controlled goods or technologies may require U.S. person status under ITAR or EAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Thin film coating experience.
• Experience operating vacuum chambers.
• Computer literacy and Excel experience.
