Senior Investment Accountant - Derivatives

Salary: $97,617.60–$146,426.40 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage investment accounting close activities, including journal entries, management reports, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare U.S. Statutory, U.S. GAAP, and Bermuda Statutory investment financial documents, footnotes, and supporting schedules, including consolidated 10-Q and 10-K reporting.
• Review investment portfolio activity and complete related general ledger reconciliations.
• Support financial analysis of operating results, balance sheets, and key performance indicators.
• Lead continuous improvement projects, including identifying opportunities to leverage AI in monthly and quarterly close activities.
• Support internal and external audit requests and assist with implementation of a new end-to-end derivatives system.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in investments, banking, and/or accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP financial accounting regulations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work with investment accounting close activities and financial reporting.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of statutory financial accounting regulations.
• Knowledge of derivative instruments and applicable accounting guidance, including hedge accounting.
• Public accounting experience.
• CPA designation.
