Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Location: US, Arlington, VA; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 remote days.

Salary: $83,000–$99,450/year, plus an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Assist with preparing quarterly and annual financial statements under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Support SEC 10-K, 10-Q, and other public filings, including disclosure coordination for more than 100 business units worldwide.
• Research and communicate the impact of new accounting interpretations, pronouncements, and technical literature.
• Serve as a key accounting contact for headquarters stakeholders and global business units.
• Support process improvements, system reporting upgrades, data collection optimization, and financial analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with Big Four public accounting or a public/private mix.
• Current experience preparing and reviewing SEC filings in a multinational environment.
• Experience with large public-company U.S. GAAP accounting and complex technical accounting topics, including impairments, acquisitions, divestitures, revenue recognition, leases, consolidations, and equity method accounting.
• Exposure to SAP BPC or comparable consolidation systems, Workiva Wdesk, and Microsoft 365 tools including Excel and Power BI.
• Strong research, documentation, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience implementing process improvement or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience using digital tools or AI to improve accounting processes.
