Principal Implementation Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid working with 3 days per week

Salary: up to €125,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead technical delivery of enterprise platform implementations from design through production.
• Own technical discussions with client engineers, architects, and senior stakeholders.
• Design end-to-end integrations across complex enterprise environments, including APIs, authentication models, and data flows.
• Lead implementation workshops and technical discovery sessions.
• Oversee configuration and integration work performed by implementation engineers.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point while balancing delivery, scope, commercial priorities, and technical risk.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with progression into a Technical Lead, Principal Engineer, or similar role.
• Experience delivering enterprise SaaS implementations and designing solutions across multiple integrated systems.
• Strong understanding of API design and enterprise integration patterns.
• Knowledge of OAuth and OpenID Connect authentication technologies.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, React, and JSON.
• Understanding of cloud architectures, ideally AWS, plus strong communication and client-facing decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with banking, wealth management, or financial services clients.
• Professional Services or consultancy experience.
• Experience with globally distributed engineering teams, platform migrations, or large-scale transformation programmes.
• Solution design experience across enterprise software implementations.
