Senior Manager Global Customs Governance

What you will do

• Design, roll out, and operate a global Customs Operational Control Framework.
• Lead internal customs controls, customs valuation reporting, and global audit coordination.
• Manage hirify.global’s Authorized Economic Operator Trusted Partner status in Belgium and maintain relationships with Belgian Customs Authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of customs controls and workflows.
• Provide technical expertise on customs law, international regulations, EU GDP/GMP, and applicable local requirements.
• Set operational performance standards and lead talent development, onboarding, and training across the Customs & Compliance Operations team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international trade, supply chain logistics, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in import, export, and trade compliance operations, preferably in pharmaceuticals or consulting.
• 3–5 years of experience in leadership roles.
• Proficient English and Dutch are required.
• Broad Microsoft Office skills and advanced knowledge of SAP or another ERP system.
• Strong regulatory, risk management, problem-solving, communication, project management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
